Tungsten heat shield
Tungsten sheet is very good material for high temperature Hot-Zone construction. It is work well at 1500 - 2200 DC.
The heat shielding is make up of multiple layers of tungsten sheet with spaces between each layer. Generally, a heat shielding often consists of 3 6 layers of tungsten sheet backed by molybdenum sheet. For higher operation temperatures, the number of tungsten layers is increased as well as the thickness of each layer.
Application : Hot-Zone for vertical cylindrical vacuum furnace.
